1. "BEACH" is the name of a retailer based in Salisbury, and therefore the knife was probably made in Sheffield,

2. "BEACH" was a knife manufacturer located in Salisbury - when Salisbury was in competition with Sheffield up until the early to mid-19th Century. Levine 4 (page 101) identifies a William Beach who was a cutler in Catherine Street from 1829 - 1880.
