SHEFFIELD MADE HORSEMAN
£140.00
Maker: not clear. The pile side tang of the saw blade is stamped "W.G. Ld" or similar - stamping of the "Ld. is unclear. This could be a reference to WATSON & GILLOTT who were active in Sheffield from 1896 "until the start of the Second World War." - according to Tweedale. All three blades are stamped
"HARRODS" on the pile side tang. This is assumed to be a reference to the luxury department store on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge, London.
