The blade face is very faintly stamped “SAYNOR”. The mark side tang is stamped “SAYNOR COOKE & RIDAL” and the pile side tang is stamped “OBTAIN”. It is assumed that the timeframe is early 1870s to early 20th century. The length closed is 4 ¼ inches. Scales are stag horn, with round butt end. Integral liners and bolsters. The blade is assumed to originally have been a hawkbill style.
Condition: There is a piece of stag missing from the pile side scale, and a scale pin missing from both sides adjacent to the bolster.
